5th Annual Anti-Street Harassment Week
for Stop Street Harassment
January-April 2015
Now entering its sixth year, "Meet Us On The Street," International Anti-Street Harassment Week, is a worldwide movement to encourage grassroots activism and political mobilization against the widespread problem of street harassment. Particularly affecting women, adolescents, individuals of racial, religious, and economic minorities, and LGBTQ individuals, street harassment is a global human rights issue that restricts mobility, negatively impacts mental well-being, and unfortunately can result in physical injury. This year's event brought together over 100 organizations in 42 different countries to hold Tweet chat, rallies, parades, concerts, workshops, film-screenings, self-defense classes, and more.
Celebrate World Health Day
Benefit Concert and Reception
for Curamericas Global
February-April 2015
Held on World Health Day, this concert and reception was meant to bring together our younger volunteers, older donors, and community members who many not be familiar with our work to celebrate what we've accomplished in the field of health. Over 70 people attended the event, and we surpassed our fundraising goal, raising over $5,000 through ticket sales, raffles, and donations.

Indigenous Leaders Day
for First Peoples Worldwide
October 2014
In recent years, there has arisen a greater understanding of the inappropriateness of celebrating a day honoring a man who brought about the genocide of much of the United States' Indigenous culture. This online campaign was meant to provide an alternative to celebrating Columbus Day by allowing our audience to submit nominations for Indigenous leaders that have inspired them - both historical and contemporary figures. These nominations became part of a larger online celebration reminding the world that Indigenous peoples are not relegated to textbooks.
Proud to be Indigenous Week
for First Peoples Worldwide
March - May 2014
Proud to be Indigenous Week was started in 2013 as a way to include the larger public in the proceedings of the United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues, held each year in May in New York City. We invited Indigenous groups around the world to share their photos, videos, music, stories, and more - to explain to us why they are proud to be Indigenous and how they celebrate their unique cultures. Ultimately, we received over 150 submissions from 52 ethnic groups in 19 different countries.
